Local Ministries

We are committed to taking the gospel to our neighbors and community. We do this through personal evangelism and serving the needs of our community.

Firewood Ministry

We want to ensure that everyone in our community has a warm place to live. Through donations from the community and the volunteer work of our church, we haul, split, stack, and deliver firewood to those in need throughout our community.

For more information or to request wood, visit our Firewood Ministry page.

Benevolence Offerings

Through the generosity of our members, the church has a designated fund through which the elder board is able to directly help families and individuals in financial need. The benevolence offering is taken up every 5th Sunday in conjunction with the Lord’s Supper, or individuals can give online.

Contact the church office for more information or to make a request.

Homeless Ministry

Join us as we minister to the homeless community in downtown Richmond. We serve our community on the second Saturday of the month. Items may be donated to the church office throughout the month.

Contact Vicky Duffer for more information.

Bon Air Juvenile Correctional Center - Prison Ministry

Men from our church have the opportunity to share the Gospel with young men on a monthly basis. Opportunities exist for more frequent ministry.

Contact Mark Duffer for more information.

Good News Club - Child Evangelism Fellowship

In schools, community centers, churches, and neighborhood homes, teachers who are screened, trained, and equipped lead action-packed Good News Clubs every week, delivering the timeless truths of the Bible in exciting, engaging ways. Children learn the Gospel, and many come to know Jesus as their Savior. Red Lane sponsors a club at Pocahontas Elementary School. Complete the registration form HERE, print and return it to the school.

Please contact Jennifer Moffat for more information.

Church Planting

We believe that there is a great need for biblical and evangelistic churches to be planted all across our nation. In cooperation with NAMB and SBCV, we support and work with church planters in the under-reached areas of North America and the Caribbean.

Our Current Church Plant

We are excited to partner with Vince Oliveri and The Vine Church, in Blacksburg, VA. The Vine Church officially launched on October 9, 2022.

They are named The Vine Church because they are all about Jesus, the True Vine. They desire to be a church that abides in God's love, grows together as a family, bears the fruit of the Spirit, and is on mission to pursue the flourishing of those around them.
